Frequently Asked Questions

What is Transformational Coaching?

While traditional coaching often focuses on 'doing more' or hitting external targets, Transformational Coaching is about looking beneath the surface. It’s for when you realize that 'checking the boxes' hasn't made you happy, and you're ready to understand the patterns or beliefs that are keeping you stuck.

It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about The Unpacking—reconnecting with your authentic self and clarifying what truly matters so that the changes you make are sustainable and meaningful.

In our sessions, you have the rare permission to focus entirely on yourself. It is a time to pause the 'noise' and explore your needs with curiosity. My role is to listen deeply and challenge you gently, helping you move from 'overthinking' into those Embodied Steps that feel right in your gut.

Is coaching like therapy?

While they can be beautifully complementary, coaching and therapy serve different needs.

Therapy is a clinical space focused on healing, deep processing of the past, and managing mental health conditions. Coaching is a creative and practical partnership focused on your life as it is today.

In our work, we might look at your backstory to understand the 'noise' or patterns that are affecting you now, but our focus is on clarity and forward movement. We look at where you are, where you want to go, and how to build the self-trust to get there.

Note: Coaching is not a substitute for mental health care. If you are experiencing severe distress, depression, or anxiety, I encourage you to reach out to a licensed medical professional or mental health service. Seeking the right support for your needs is a profound act of self-trust—because your well-being matters.

What are your coaching qualifications?

I believe that the best coaching happens when deep empathy is matched by professional rigor.

I am a Certified Professional Coach through Erickson Coaching International and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My background includes over 100 hours of accredited classroom training and 100+ hours of dedicated coaching practice.

What this means for you: My training equips me to create a safe, reflective, and grounded space where you can explore your life with total confidence. I strictly adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics and Core Competencies, ensuring that our partnership is built on integrity, confidentiality, and the highest professional standards.

I don't just offer support; I offer a structured, ethical process designed to help you clarify your values and take the steps that truly matter.

Is coaching confidential?

Yes - our sessions are private and your reflections are held in confidentiality. For full details on boundaries and exceptions, please see my [Privacy Policy] and [Disclaimer].

Are sessions virtual or in person?

All sessions are conducted virtually via video call (Google Meet). This allows you to participate from the comfort of your home or office and provides flexibility for scheduling. You click on the link in the confirmation email and join the meeting.

How does coaching work?

Coaching is a partnership of equals. You are the expert on your life, and I am your partner in navigating it. You set the direction and choose the pace—there is no 'behind' here.

Think of our sessions as a dedicated space to breathe. My role is to listen deeply, ask the questions you might not be asking yourself, and offer reflections that help you see your situation from a new angle.

Each session is structured around what feels most alive for you in that moment. We don’t just talk; we bridge the gap between your insights and your daily life. Together, we’ll clarify what matters and identify those small, Embodied Steps that build your confidence. Over time, this process helps you quiet the external 'shoulds' so you can lead your life from the inside out.

Who benefits from coaching?

Coaching is for anyone who feels like the 'map' they’ve been using no longer fits the terrain of their life.

I work with people navigating the high-stakes 'in-between' moments—whether that’s a significant career transition, the shift into retirement, or a deeper exploration of identity and self-acceptance.

You don’t need to have a clear destination to start. In fact, many of my clients arrive feeling a bit lost or 'noisy' inside. We start right where you are. Coaching is for you if you are ready to stop 'pushing through' and start uncovering what actually matters to you, so you can take those first steps with a sense of genuine self-trust.

How do I get started?

Step 1: A Quiet Conversation (60 Minutes)

The best way to see if we’re a fit is to simply talk. This initial session is completely free and is designed to give you a true experience of my coaching—no pressure, no "pitch."

What to expect: We’ll spend our time getting to know each other and discussing what’s on your mind. You’ll get to experience firsthand how a dedicated, reflective space can help you quiet the noise and find clarity.

You’ll leave our conversation with a better sense of your next steps and a clear feeling of whether my approach is the right "way home" for you.

Session Duration, Frequency, and Investment?

Meaningful change isn’t a quick fix—it’s a process. To honor that journey, I work with clients through 3, 6, or 12-month engagements rather than single sessions. This allows us the time and space to move through The Unpacking and into real, sustainable action.

The Details:

  • Session Length: Each session is 60 minutes—long enough for a deep breath and thoughtful exploration, without any rush.

  • Frequency: We typically meet weekly or biweekly. We can adjust this as our work evolves and your needs change.

  • Pricing: Because every journey is unique, we’ll discuss rates and engagement options during our Quiet Conversation. This ensures the level of support we choose is the right fit for your specific goals and circumstances.

My aim is to keep our work accessible, respectful, and professional—honoring both your needs and the integrity of the coaching process.
